Medical practices examine many patients every day. The more, the better. Therefore, more and more medical practices look for ways to speed up their work processes. Using a health cloud can be a good solution to achieve this goal.
Digital transformation is leaving its mark on the healthcare system. Slow but steady digital data processes replace manual ones in medical practices. However, when it comes to health clouds physicians often hesitate. Too expensive, too complex, too insecure are their major concerns. Having said that, these very same physicians like to view medical data on their tablets and love to work from home. Health clouds can help in any of these cases and can easily wipe away physicians’ previously mentioned concerns. There are health clouds possessing data privacy and protection seals of quality, offering attractive and flexible pay-as-you-go rates as well as being easy to use for all participants involved. Therefore, there are less and less reasons for physicians to refuse using health clouds in their medical practices.
HealthDataSpace connects to radiology information system
Since we here at HealthDataSpace value interoperability highly, we have integrated our health cloud with eRIS – the widely used radiology information system by Digithurst. eRIS uses HealthDataSpace easily without any registration process necessary. Whenever patients visit the medical practice and get their X-rays taken, eRIS automatically produces a personal access code. This code is then printed automatically on medical reports or CDs that physicians typically hand out to their patients. After entering or scanning this code patients and even referring physicians are able to view medical data like X-rays or reports immediately and securely online without having to register for HealthDataSpace first.
